Introduction of Low Viscosity Polyanionic Cellulose (PAC-LV)

2023-07-28

PAV LV, also known as low-viscosity PAC, is a water-soluble polymer produced by the chemical reaction of cellulose and carboxymethyl anion groups. This product is further purified in order to significantly increase the effective level of polymer. It should not contain other polysaccharides such as starch, inosarcin and other natural polymers or their derivatives. This product is a free-flowing powder or granular product.

PAC-LV is widely used in water-based drilling fluids as fluid loss reducer, viscosity control agent and shale inhibitor.

Notice:

1. According to GB/T 5005-2010 Drilling Fluid Material Specification, it is recommended that the purity of PAC-LV should be greater than 96% NaCMC (on a dry basis). Regarding the purity, it can be customized according to customer needs. There are PAC LV 70%, PAC LV 85%, PAC LV 90%, PAC LV 95%, PAC LV 98%.

2. PAV-LV should not contain starch.

3. Artificial seawater drilling fluid should be used to determine the viscosity and fluid loss control performance of PAC-LV.

4. It is recommended that the particle size of PAC-LV powder should be less than 0.8mm (20 mesh).
